Keyword Performance Gaps

The Keyword Performance Gaps table shows keywords where a competitor ranks higher than you — or where you don't rank at all. Use it to see exactly where you're losing traffic and decide which gaps are worth closing first.

What the table shows

Each row is a keyword. The columns are:

  • Keyword — the search term
  • Search Vol — monthly search volume
  • Your Rank — your current position, shown as a badge like "#17". If you don't rank, it shows "—"
  • Best Competitor — the competitor with the highest ranking for that keyword, and their position (e.g., "#4")
  • Their Traffic — estimated monthly visits that competitor gets from the keyword
  • Est. Value — the estimated dollar value of that traffic per month (e.g., "+$5,040/mo")

How to read it

Three things worth looking at first:

  • You're not ranking, but a competitor is in the top 10. That's a missed opportunity — you're getting zero traffic from a keyword your competitor has already captured.
  • You rank, but you're far behind. Moving from position 17 to position 5 can mean a big jump in traffic, even for the same keyword.
  • Volume and value are high. Not every gap is worth the effort. Focus on the rows where the traffic number and estimated value are actually meaningful.

What you see

The table shows your top 10 keyword gaps, sorted by the size of the opportunity — biggest gaps first.

If there are more, you'll see a footer like "+310 more keyword gaps" with a View all keywords link to see the full list.
