DR Distribution Chart

The DR Distribution chart shows how your backlinks are spread across five authority tiers — and how that split compares to your competitors' average. You'll find it to the right of the Link Profile Comparison table.

The five tiers

Each tier covers a range of Domain Rank scores:

• DR 0–20 — Low-authority links. Think directories, forums, or brand-new sites.
• DR 21–40 — Sites with some authority. Generally easier to get a link from.
• DR 41–60 — Mid-tier authority. Solid sites that carry real link weight.
• DR 61–80 — Established publications and industry sites.
• DR 81–100 — Major news sites and top-tier domains.

How to read it

Each tier shows two bars:

• You (teal) — the percentage of your referring domains that fall in that tier
• Comp avg (gray) — the average percentage across your competitors

When the gray bar is noticeably longer than the teal bar, that's a gap. The chart marks the tier with the biggest difference using a "Biggest opportunity gap" badge.

What to do with it

Start your outreach in whichever tier has the largest gap. A few examples:

• Gap in DR 41–60 — target mid-tier sites: guest posts on niche blogs, resource page placements, editorial mentions.
• Gap in DR 21–40 — these tend to be the quickest wins: directories, smaller publishers, content partnerships.
• Gap in DR 61+ — harder to land, but each link carries more weight.

The chart won't tell you which specific sites to go after. That's what the Link Gap Domains table is for. But it tells you exactly where to focus first.
