Link Monitor Settings

The Settings page is where you control how Link Monitor behaves — which events trigger email alerts, which email accounts it sends from, and what the defaults are for new links.

Where to find it

Go to Link Monitor > Settings in the sidebar.

Alert preferences

Toggle email notifications on or off for each event type. Lost a link? You probably want an email right away. A rel attribute changed? Maybe not. Set it up however makes sense for how you work.

Email accounts

Connect the email accounts Link Monitor sends recovery emails from. Setup works the same as Link Builder. You can connect:

• Gmail (Google Workspace) via OAuth
• Outlook 365 via OAuth
• Custom SMTP server

If you've connected more than one account, use the up/down arrows to set your priority order. Link Monitor will always send from the highest-priority account first.

Monitoring defaults

These settings apply automatically to every new link you add:

• Default frequency — how often links get checked (Daily, 3-day, Weekly, or Monthly)
• Default email template — which recovery email template to use by default
• Follow-up configuration — how many follow-ups to send and how long to wait between each one

You can override any of these per link or per sequence if needed.
