How to Communicate with Clients through Uprankly

Step 1: Access the Project Dashboard

Log in to your Agency account and select the specific project you are working on. From the main project overview, click on the Audit or Tasks section where you intend to communicate about specific items.

Step 2: Locate the Communication Icon

As you scroll through your audit report or task list, you will notice a Message/Chat icon located on the right-hand side of each individual item or task line.

  • Tip: You can keep conversations organized by specific issues rather than having one long, confusing chat thread with it.

Step 3: Open the Chat Sidebar

Click the Chat icon next to the relevant task. A sidebar will slide out from the right side of the screen. This is your dedicated communication hub for that specific item.

Step 4: Compose and Send Your Message

  1. Type your message, update, or question into the text box at the bottom of the sidebar.
  2. Tagging (Optional): If you want to notify a specific team member or the client directly, you can use the "@" symbol followed by their name.
  3. Click the Send icon (airplane symbol) or press Enter to post the message.

Step 5: Client Interaction & Notifications

Once you send a message:

  • Your client will see the message when they log into their dashboard.
  • When the client replies, a notification badge (often a red dot or number) will appear on the Chat icon for that task, alerting you to new feedback.
  • All previous messages remain visible in the sidebar, creating a permanent audit trail of the conversation and decisions made.

Step 6: Closing the Conversation

Once the discussion is complete, simply click the "X" at the top of the sidebar or click anywhere outside the panel to return to your main dashboard view.
